Associate Professor in North-American Studies at the Département d'Etudes Anglophones, Faculté des Langues, Université de Strasbourg. Initially specialized in multicultural education and immigrant language policies in Canada, I have more recently pursued research in visual studies with a focus on the migrant body, identities and the representation of the other in documentary and conceptual photography in Canada. I am interested in the ways photographic representation of/at borders, landscapes and territories articulate questions of national identity, memory and scientific investigation.
